Google hosts free seminar to help Arizona businesses get online

On August 17, Google and Congressman Jeff Flake will participate in the statewide kick-off event for the Arizona Get Your Business Online www.ArizonaGetOnline.com program at monOrchid at 1:15 pm.

Hundreds of small businesses are expected to attend the launch of?Arizona Get Your Business Online which is an easy and fast way for Arizona businesses to get a website and get more visible online where the majority of people are going to find goods and services. Google is partnering with Intuit to provide its popular Intuit Websites offerings for free, including an easy-to-build website, a customized domain name and web-hosting for one year.

For the next year, participating Arizona businesses can go to ?www.ArizonaGetOnline.com to get a free website as well as free tools, training and resources to help their business succeed online.

Local businesses will be available to discuss the benefits of this program with the media.

While 97 percent of Americans look online for local products and services, 56 percent of small businesses in Arizona do not have a website or online presence.
